Budding Wheeling is a youth entrepreneurship program for youth aged 13-17. In Budding Wheeling, youth participants spend time learning business and farming skills, then putting these skills to use as they run their own flower farming business.
In their work, youth prepare gardens for planting, sow seeds, harvest flowers, arrange flowers into bouquets, reach out to potential customers, as well as sell and deliver bouquets of flowers. During the program, participants also learn from local experts about business and preparing floral products.
Participants are compensated for the time they work with the program via a stipend paid at $12/hr. No experience is necessary!
