HARVEST FESTIVAL
The Public Market and Grow Ohio Valley are excited to announce this year’s annual Harvest Festival, taking place on October 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held in downtown Wheeling on 14th Street, spanning from Main Street to Nailers Way. This festival aims to unite the community, fostering connections with local farmers, artisans, and valuable community resources, all while enjoying a day of fun and support.
This free public event will feature a diverse range of activities, including live musical performances, exciting giveaways, interactive painting projects, and a lively kids' costume contest at noon. Attendees can also savor delicious lunch specials in the Public Market Kitchen and witness a live cider press demonstration, alongside many other festive activities.
Talented local musical guests will enhance the festive atmosphere. Louie Balk of OVDJ Productions will serve as the emcee and provide sound mixing for the featured bands. Performers include Sean Decker, a local solo artist, and the Route 40 Band, a local youth group whose lead singer, Kennedy, recently won the Strands Talent Show in Moundsville, WV. Louie Balk will also host the Kids Costume Contest at noon, where children can display their creative festive attire for a chance to win a fun-filled gift basket generously provided by Robert and Libby Strong of the SMART Centre.
Additional giveaways include a $325 valued package of festive porch decor, featuring pumpkins and gourds from Gourd & Gather. The Public Market will also host its own giveaway, offering one lucky winner a fresh, never-frozen, holiday turkey from Lewis’ Turkey Farms.
See you all at The Public Market!
